Meet Our Team

President: Somin Jung

Somin is a fourth-year studying Biomedical Engineering from Cleveland, OH! She attended the CCWA MUN Conferences throughout her high school career, and joined CWRUMUN to help host the events in college. Her previous position in 2023-2024  was the Secretary-General. In her free time, Somin likes to go jogging and attending sports events in Cleveland (Go Cavs!).

Head-Delegate: Siddharth Khadkikar

Siddharth is a 4th-year student from Columbus, OH studying computer science and biology. He has attended MUN conferences throughout high school, and was previously the Secretary for CWRUMUN. This year, Siddharth is happy to serve as co-Head Delegate with Jerry. When he’s not reading books or climbing trees, he’s often found playing (and making) board games or trying to learn new languages.

Head-Delegate: Jerry Yang

Jerry is a second-year student from Flushing, NY, studying biomedical and electrical engineering. In his sixth year of Model UN, he's excited to serve as one of CWRUMUN's Head Delegates, and can't wait to see all the travel team will achieve this year.  Jerry has also chaired and written background guides for several home team conferences. Outside of MUN, Jerry is a big NY sports fan (Knicks/Mets/Giants/Rangers) and enjoys discovering new places.

Secretary-General: Matthew Haimowitz

Matthew has been doing Model UN since 2018, and is proud to preside over the conferences hosted by CWRU as Secretary-General for the 2024-2025 academic year.  Matthew has previously served as Secretary and Chief of Staff at CWRU, and has presided over the CabMUN III conference at Cab Calloway School of the Arts in 2022. He is a third-year student from Newark, DE studying biology on the pre-med track, with an additional love for music, playing in the klezmer and steel drum ensembles.

Treasurer: Tharun Viswanathan

Tharun has been doing Model UN since 2019 and loves money. Therefore it comes as no surprise that he handles the club's finances for the 2024-2025 academic year. Tharun has previously represented CWRUMUN on the travel team, winning an honorable mention at the Midwest Training conference simulation. He is a second-year student studying computer engineering, and plays the piano in his spare time. Some of his interests include sports and video games.

Secretary: Alan Lee

Alan has been active in Model United Nations since 2017 and is excited to serve as the CWRUMUN Secretary. A third-year student studying biology on the pre-med track, he has previously served as CWRUMUN’s Treasurer for the 2023-2024 term. Hailing from Taipei, Taiwan, he is also active in the local Taiwanese American community. In his free time, Alan likes to play some baseball and work as CWRU’s SafeRide driver. 

Public Relations Officer: Jenny Fu

Jenny Fu is a third-year student at CWRU studying Biology and Sociology. She has been doing MUN since 2018 and has spent much of her MUN career in Cleveland. Jenny has previously chaired for the CWRUMUN home team during her time at CWRU. When she's not doing MUN, she likes hiking, cafe-hopping, and waiting patiently for the next Winter Olympics.
